My Story

Maria

I’ve always been fond of photography.

It sounds dramatic to call it a “calling,” but honestly? Since my early teenage years, I’ve loved taking photos of people — capturing their little quirks, moments, and moods. It wasn’t just about pressing the shutter; I was obsessed with colour grading, editing styles, the magic of lenses, and figuring out the technical side of it all.

But my journey didn’t start here.

I studied hospitality, then packed my bags and moved to Dubai. Life there was luxurious, adrenaline-filled, and unforgettable. My parents and I lived in fast lanes — the kind of lifestyle that still makes me wonder, how do I even top that?

I interned with interior design firms, engineering consultants, and eventually landed some pretty exciting roles — one of my favourites being a Marketing Executive for not one, but two Marriott hotels. It was a ride.

Eventually, we moved back to the UK — to the quiet charm of Malmesbury. I pivoted completely and pursued a degree in BSc Criminology with Psychology in Bristol. That phase? Wild in its own way. I was a scholar, a student ambassador (twice), a weekend spa assistant at Whatley Manor, and a weekday college services advisor. I barely paused for breath over those 3 to 4 years.

That advisor role eventually turned into a full-time position — something I proudly hold today.

So how does this all relate to what I’m doing now?

Well, throughout all these chapters, one thread remained: photography. I was always the one being asked to shoot, to film, to edit. People just seemed to gravitate to me for that. And I loved it — every frame, every pose, every colour curve.

That’s why I built this website.

It’s a space to share that passion. I love guiding people in front of the lens, bringing their energy to life, and shaping memories they’ll want to keep revisiting.

And yes, I do have other hobbies — I promise.
